The new version of the site is up and running. It has, after all, been 3 years since I stopped doing the Technofile. I do miss it, though working on video games is a lot more challenging and rewarding than doing a syndicated radio show.
What does frustrate me is the current state of technology journalism. It’s turned into a bunch of elitist whiners who throw bloggy tantrums over the MOST IRRELEVANT THINGS EVER. Take, for instance, the rants of a few tech journalists against the Ipad as somehow being draconian and the Iphone to be horribly limited and betraying our human civil rights. If you went back in a time machine to 1988 and showed someone and Iphone and whined about how horrible it was, they would beat you with a tire iron for being a self absorbed unappreciative dick. THIS is what’s wrong with your life? Really? You can’t make copies of movies you bought in Itunes? Entire continents don’t have indoor plumbing, swim in sewage, and die from a mosquito bite and you in your hipster geek glasses and Prius are whining about your apps? Good going self absorbed prick.
Wow. I think i just did a Technofile there.
The new site has comments. It’s going to be available until people begin acting like children. Be nice. Don’t call names. If you disagree with someone, don’t be mean. Don’t post something you wouldn’t say to someone’s face.

The new site looks great Lazlow. When are you guys starting up the Lazlow show again? I realize theres that whole “Rockstar Games” gig where you make “money” and all that, but what about a free podcast that probably won’t earn you anything?
I think the choice is obvious.

Wow nice new site Laz! Hopefully comments will reduce the mad amounts of spam you probably get from creepy stalker fans. Also, thank you for not selling out and dropping ads all over the new site (well, other than the giant t-shirt plug at the top, but that’s fine).
Any word at all on episode 44/the whole Sirius overlord absurdity? Here’s hoping for the best!

That top bit is really err, funky, too.
I don’t suppose there’s any news on the last episode you did.
Such as, if it actually happened. Man living in a different continent really makes it hard to keep up with your awesome show.
Anyway, Nice site, keep up the great work with the show, and your involvement in game production.
Props to Reed and Big Wayne for their involvement with the show too if they see this.

As for iPads.. being in Ireland I’ve been forced (by societal peer pressure in Starbucks) to import one from America. Sure, it’s a giant iPod touch. But damn, it’s an impressive iPod.

Loving the new site, Laz. It’s really got a pretty cool vibe to it and it’s a bit easier to explore, not to mention easier on the eyes as well. Pretty sleek.
And I love the little “rant” you went on about these technological geeks who bitch and moan about all of this stupid bullshit when 20 years ago most people couldn’t have even imagined having their entire music collection in their front pocket on one small device with a touch screen that looks like it came out of Star Trek. Spot on.
I’m really looking forward to Red Dead Redemption. I’m also looking forward to the next Grand Theft Auto and of course the next episode of The Lazlow Show, whenever those will be.
Keep up the great work man. And yeah, tell Wayne we want a chapter from his book on the next episode like he promised last year.

Agree with you 100% on your technology rant. A friend of mine said I was a dick because I blew the rest of my money (unemployed now) on beer, rather than upgrade my shitty outdated phone. My phone doesn’t have a camera, nor can it play music files, it’s literally just that: a phone. Which is fine by me, I can still order pizza and call sex lines, so who the fuck cares!?
I agree with your policy about not name calling, but does that go for celebrities too? Because I saw a Lady GaGa video a few minutes ago, and if she makes one more shitty auto-tuned video where she’s dressed like a robot and talking about her cavern cunt, I’m gonna lose my fucking mind. God I’d love to shit in her mouth.
Anyway, tell Wayne to hurry up with that book!
